Elkdale is a great faith family. Here are some testimonies to that fact! "Elkdale is my life line, my source to hear God's Word. I love my home and my family with all my heart, but I know my Lord has first place and Elkdale is a good source the word of Jesus. I love all the people and the connection I have with all of them. They are my Christian family." Martha "I came from a Methodist background and was raised in Christian home...however...when I married Ben and joined Elkdale, I was introduced to the idea of a "personal relationship" with the Lord. What a difference that concept has made in my life...now I understand what it means to have a daily/closer walk with the Lord. My life has been enriched beyond measure." Debbie "I am not officially a 'member' of Elkdale, as I live in Springville, Alabama and am a member of Northpark Baptist Church, but I would like to give a testimony about Elkdale. My husband and I have served in many churches in the various places we have lived. He has been a deacon, we have been on numerous committees, and we taught adult Sunday School for many years. Due to a heart-wrenching conflict in a church where we taught, we temporarily found ourselves without a church home at the precise time our, then three-year old, daughter had a health crisis. She was not able to attend church due to her health issues and impending open heart surgery. Because of certain Spirit-led members of Elkdale, who could have only happened to hear about our daughter and feel a burden for our family in a miraculous way, we found all the support and love and kindness we could have ever imagined from many wonderful and special people at Elkdale. When our family was in a season of crisis, and separated from a church home---Elkdale reached from Selma to Springville to find us and love us. Not because of a 'program', but because of Spirit lead individuals who have a true and genuine relationship with God and reached into the secret, hurting places of my heart that only God knew about. We have emerged from our time of crisis with our precious and beautiful daughter, became involved in a local church, and have maintained very special friendships with some of Elkdale's members. When we were hurting, God used Elkdale to show His love. We will forever marvel at God's ability to use a church many miles away to minister to our family, and we will forever remain grateful to the Elkdale family for following His call." Wendy "In 1995, I participated in Experiencing God, a Bible study formulated by Henry Blackaby. The study was life-changing for I truly 'experienced' God. It had been a long time, but it was not the last time I encountered Jesus. It was the beginning of a close friendship with Him. One of the many things I learned during the study was 'Go where God is working.' This is why I am a member of Elkdale Baptist Church."
